As
we approach the end of the tour, we're all wishing it could keep
going.
We wittnesed another great show tonight. The Maker is a song that
has been
covered by many artists including DMB and EmmyLou Harris. It was
an honor to
have Daniel Lanois, the man who wrote the tune, join Dave, EmmyLou
and the
band in performing it this evening. It was a truly special occasion.
One
more to go in Oakland tomorrow. See you there.

It's
an emotional end to an incredible tour. Dave and Friends had a blast
tonight, playing a three and a half hour show. During the encore,
they
pulled out Can't You Hear Me Knocking by Rolling Stones, which they
quickly
rehearsed in the dressing room right before they hit the stage.
We're all
headed our separate ways. See y'all in the summer.

What
a great first show it was tonight in St. Louis. DMB spent much of
the spring writing new tunes and they pulled out 4 of them tonight,
proving that there's exciting stuff to come. They also took some
older
tunes in a different direction. Warehouse spun off into an energetic
latin groove, reminiscent of the old days. Towards the end of Grace
Is
Gone they broke out into an upbeat country jam which featured Boyd's
classic fiddling. On our way to Illinois for a show tomorrow.

Fantastic
show in Tinley Park tonight! Energy levels on stage and in the audience
were high. The band are having a great time together as usual, and
it's showing in their performance. Along with the 4 new songs we
heard last night, DMB played a tune that they wrote during soundcheck
this afternoon. Dave improvised lyrics and band members exchanged
solos. When asked what we should name the song on the web site,
Dave replied "Hmm? Call it......'Hmm?!'." We're headed to Indy for
shows on Sunday and Monday. See y'all there.

Third

looking forward to returning tomorrow. Hope to see ya.

The
tour's moving right along and we're settling in well. We couldn't
ask for weather as good as we've had for the past week. Looking
forward to our gig back here in Columbus tomorrow night. See y'all
then.

If
you've been to any of the past few shows, you probably noticed that
the band have been playing some of the older songs a bit differently.
This has been completely unplanned and unrehearsed. They've obviously
been having fun turning the songs on their ends. Tonight's Jimi
Thing and Recently stand out. Load-out is going on right now. We're
working our way into a day off tomorrow. See y'all in Pittsburgh
on Saturday.

The
audience tonight at Blossom Music Center was on fire! DMB played
a very fun and energetic show. They all came off stage with big
smiles on their faces. We're packing up now and getting our passports
out for the border crossing early tomorrow morning. Catch y'all
in Toronto tomorrow night!

Toronto
treated us well tonight for our only Canadian show this year. The
band have been having fun with Rapunzel this year, often playing
it as the closer to the show. Roi and Butch have been kicking it
up a notch during the ending jam. We're headed back over the border
for the second time today. See y'all at SPAC this weekend.
-- The DMB Crew
Wednesday, June 30
11:54 PM EDT
A
good time was had by all for our first of two shows at SPAC. Tonight
we heard a few songs that the band had not played yet this year.
They opened with Pig, then later in the set, we got to hear a powerful
Cry Freedom. Of course, Best of What's Around was a hit during the
encore. We always enjoy coming back to this beautiful town. Looking
forward to seeing y'all at the show tomorrow night.

Friday, July 2

We're
packing up after our second SPAC show and getting ready for a couple
days off in Boston. Everyone is looking forward to the big fireworks
display in the city tomorrow night. Have a happy and safe fourth
of July. We'll see y'all on Tuesday in Mansfield.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 3
11:57 PM EDT
DMB
played a solid set tonight in Mansfield opening up with One Sweet
World. We were forced to cancel soundcheck this afternoon after
the flight on which LeRoi and Carter were traveling was diverted
due to a malfunction. They got on another plane and made it to the
venue in plenty of time for the show. Speaking of the show, it rocked!
They just keep getting better. We'll see you back here tomorrow
night.

Tuesday, July 6
11:44 PM EDT
We're
packing up after our second Mansfield show and getting ready for
the big John Kerry benefit tomorrow night at Radio City Music Hall.
If you're one of the lucky one's that has tickets, we'll see you
there. Otherwise we'll catch y'all in Hershey on Saturday.

Wednesday, July 7
11:26 PM EDT
DMB
played an energetic show tonight in Hershey, PA to a vibrant
audience of 27,000+. We had a fun time in New York this week at
Radio
City playing for the John Kerry benefit. There were lots of
celebrities around for this one, many of whom could be found hanging
out in the DMB dressing room at some point throughout the evening.
Dave was given the honor of introducing the candidates and their
wives. It was a great moment to witness. We are headed close to
home
for a show in Bristow, VA tomorrow night. See y'all there.
-- The DMB Crew
Sunday, July 11
12:04 AM EDT
It's
good to be close to home for a night. Lots of friends and family
in the house. We're very pleased to have Galactic opening these
shows and hope you get a chance to see them. They still have a couple
more shows to go with us. We're driving to Darien Lake for a show
on Tuesday. See you there.
-- The DMB Crew
Sunday, July 11
11:54 PM EDT
After
an afternoon of riding the roller coasters next door at Six Flags,
DMB put on a powerful show. They had a lot of fun with Too Much
tonight, adding an unusual extended jam at the end. They also threw
in a couple parts during Recently that were reminiscent of the way
they played the song ten years ago. All in all, a great show! We're
packing the trucks, climbing on the busses and driving overnight
to Columbia, MD for an early load-in tomorrow morning. Hope to see
y'all there.

Tuesday, July 13
11:58 PM EDT
We
had fun in Hartford tonight! There was a great vibe in the room
all
night. The show sounded really good and the lights and video were
spectacular. Everything gelled just right. We enjoyed hearing the
band play
Satellite for the first time this year. Everyone is looking forward
to
getting back here tomorrow night.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 17
12:31 PM EDT
Another
great show in Hartford tonight. You might have noticed, on the
real-time set list, names for the new songs. Today the band decided
to
start listing the new songs by their working titles, although they
may
change with time. The set flowed well and the excitement of the
crowd
was noticeably appreciated by the band. We are heading into a couple
days off before our shows in Camden on Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll
see
y'all then.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 17
11:49 PM EDT
DMB
played a good show tonight for our first of two here in Camden.
We
are really enjoying hearing the new songs as they evolve throughout
the
tour. The band seem to add parts with each show. DMB played Watchtower
for the second time this tour and they took it to a different planet.
Roi broke out "The Note" during his solo, reminiscent of the band's
days
at Miller's. Long time fans know what we mean. We're hanging out
at the
gig tonight after the show, having a little mid-tour get together
and
looking forward to playing back here tomorrow night. Later....
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 21
12:10 AM EDT
(it
was actually a wednesday, but the crew listed it as saturday...)
Tons
of energy in the room tonight for our second show in Camden. The
band pulled out Seek Up for the first time this year, much to the
excitement of the audience. We're heading down to Virginia Beach
for a show
on Friday. See y'all there.

Virginia
is for Lovers! It's nice to be close to home again, in the company
of family and friends. The evening was as humid as they come, but
that didn't slow the band down a bit. They rocked tonight! We witnessed
an unexpected moment during Everyday. As Boyd kicked into his solo,
the rest of the band exited, leaving the entire stage to that big
fiddling man in the spotlight. After a little while, the band snuck
back on, gradually building the melody back into the tune. We'll
catch y'all in Charlotte tomorrow night.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 24
12:07 AM EDT
Great
gig in Charlotte tonight. A small frog has taken residence in Dave's
throat, but he didn't let it get the best of him. The temperature
has been rising as we move further south, and the shows are getting
hotter to match. We're packing up quickly and heading to Raleigh
for a show on Monday. See you then.

Great
show in Atlanta tonight. The rain held off until right after the
band finished the set. It is now pouring out there and the people
headed out of the venue are probably getting drenched. The band
opened the show with Two Much, which has taken on a distinctly different
feel this year. They're so "into it" that they came back and closed
the encore with the Too Much outro. We're headed further south for
a few shows in Florida. See y'all in Tampa on Thursday.

Wild
weather here in Tampa today. Besides the heat, ominous clouds loomed
and opened up with rain a few times in the afternoon, but the skies
cleared as DMB hit the stage. We're honored to have Daniel Lanois
and his band opening the shows in Florida. As some of you may know,
Daniel is considered to be a legend in his own time, having many
credits as a producer under his belt including U2's Joshua Tree
and Peter Gabriel's SO. In addition, he is an accomplished songwriter,
having penned a couple popular tunes that DMB have covered including
For The Beauty Of Wynona and The Maker. He closed his set this evening
with The Maker and invited Dave to sit in. It was a wonderful moment
to witness. If you're coming to the West Palm shows, we suggest
that you show up in time to catch his set. See y'all there this
weekend. Later...

Thursday, July 29
11:54 PM EDT
It
is one sweet world under this beautiful blue moon. We had a lot
of fun tonight for our first of two shows here in West Palm. The
South Florida rains hit us hard all day, but it didn't hinder the
band one bit. They put on a solid set. Everyone's psyched to get
back here and do it again tomorrow night. Hasta MaŅana, y'all.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, July 31
11:25 PM EDT
Another
good show in West Palm Beach tonight. We're sorry to be parting
ways with Daniel Lanois who, with his band, has been opening the
past few shows. He is an amazing talent. We're headed for Nashville
tonight. See you there on Wednesday.

Sunday, August 1
11:56 PM EDT
We
love Nashville! DMB played a lively show this evening. They're continuing
to have fun with Too Much, morphing portions of the song in ways
we haven't heard before. Dave sang some lyrics from Bowie's Golden
Years over the Too Much chords, and it fit perfectly. We're busy
loading the road cases and packing the trucks after the show, getting
ready for our overnight drive to Cincinnati. See you at Riverbend
tomorrow night.

Wednesday, August 4
11:52 PM CDT
It
was a beautiful evening for a DMB show in Cincinnati. The band took
the audience by surprise, pulling out 3 songs that haven't been
played yet this year. I'll Back You Up, featuring Dave and Carter
on vocals, is always a pleasure to hear. We're headed to Wisconsin
for a couple of weekend shows. See y'all at Alpine on Saturday.

Thursday,
August 5
11:54 PM EDT
We
all had a great time at Alpine Valley tonight. The place was overflowing
with energy. In memory of the passing of Rick James, the band jammed
to James' Super Freak as the segue between So Much To Say and Too
Much. It was a truely great DMB moment. Can't wait to get back here
tomorrow night!
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, August 7
11:43 PM CDT
Another
spectacular night at Alpine Valley. The band had a lot of fun on
stage and really played their hearts out. We're all excited to be
getting home to our families for a week long break from tour. See
y'all in Kansas on the 16th.

We're back at it. The break
was short but sweet. We had a great show tonight to kick off the new
leg of the tour. See y'all in San Antonio on Wednesday.

Sunday, August 8
11:53 PM CDT
Storms threatened
the show tonight. Lightning hit close-by and caused a power failure
just as the opening act was about to hit the stage. We were only down
for a few minutes, then the rains passed and the skies cleared. DMB
was full of energy and played a great set. We're looking forward to
a few days in Houston. See y'all at The Woodlands this weekend.
-- The DMB Crew
Wednesday, August 18
11:19 PM CDT
It's HOT in Houston.
The show went well. See you back here tomorrow night.
-- The DMB Crew
Friday, August 20
11:12 PM CDT
We had a good afternoon
working with the people from Houston's Habitat for Humanity. Members
of the band and crew gave their afternoon to help build a home in
a local neighborhood. We've uploaded some construction photos. After
another energetic (and moist) show in Houston, our journey westward
continues. See you in Albuquerque on Monday.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, August 21
11:51 PM CDT
Fun show in Albuquerque
tonight. Our good friend, Tim Reynolds, came and hung out with us
for the evening. He sat in with the band for the last four songs of
the set. We got to hear some of his old but familiar licks during
Crash and Too Much. It brought back some good memories. We're driving
overnight to Phoenix for a show tomorrow night. Hope to see y'all
there.
-- The DMB Crew
Monday, August 23
11:58 PM MDT
We expected another
hot night, but this evening in Phoenix ended up a pleasant one. The
band, however, cooked! DMB incontestably had a great time on stage,
cheering each other on regularly throughout the set. LeRoi's stellar
solo during What Would You Say, the opening song, set the pace for
the rest of the show. The trucks are now getting loaded with equipment
before our drive to San Diego. Look-out California, here we come!
-- The DMB Crew
Tuesday, August 24
11:46 PM MST
Another really fun
show in Chula Vista tonight and it was a gorgeous evening to boot.
We're back in the beautiful state of California, working our way North.
Everyone is looking forward to the L.A. shows this weekend. It's been
a while since we played with Ben Harper and his crew. We're excited
about the reunion. See y'all at the Home Depot Center on Saturday.
-- The DMB Crew
Thursday, August 26
11:29 PM PDT
DMB took Los Angeles
by storm tonight. It was a lot of fun to be back in a stadium in front
of so many people. Jem played a strong set to open the evening's festivities.
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals followed, putting on an amazing
show. Their new material is incredibly soulful. We're back here tomorrow
night for a show that promises to be as exciting. See y'all then.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, August 28
11:58 PM PDT
Once again, DMB showed
L.A. what they're all about with another slammin' show. The band,
full of vigor, played their hearts out. We have only six shows left
on the tour. The summer has really flown by. We'll catch y'all in
Marysville on Tuesday.
-- The DMB Crew
Sunday, August 29
11:24 PM PDT
It was a mild, starlit
evening in Marysville, CA. Perfect for a DMB show. The band played
a soulful set to a fired up audience. LeRoi's soprano work shined
on Lover Lay Down. We're making our way up to Washington for our yearly
stint at the Gorge. Everyone is psyched to get there. We'll see y'all
on Friday.

We hope you get to catch one of the few upcoming shows.

Saturday, October 02
12:04 AM EDT
The tour is going
well. We got a cool stage that has a large turntable built into it
that we're carrying with us. It really helps us in keeping the time
between bands to a minimum. There's a lot of great music packed into
one evening. Y'all should definitely catch a show if you can. See
you tomorrow in Auburn Hills.
-- The DMB Crew
Saturday, October 02
11:59 PM EDT
It was an amazing
evening at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Neil Young came and sat in
with the band on a few songs. His arrival raised adrenaline levels
as they busted into a different arrangement of Watchtower. Two of
Neil's songs followed to close the set. Cortez the Killer, a DMB favorite,
was interwoven with psychedelic electric guitar solos and vocals.
They broke out Rockin' in the Free World featuring Peggy Young (Neil's
Wife) on backing vocals to wrap up the set. We're all really looking
forward to next show in Madison on Tuesday. Hope to see y'all there.
-- The DMB Crew
Monday, October 04
12:16 AM EDT
DMB played a very
cool show in Madison tonight. Carter and Butch brought the house down
with their jam during Seek Up. Leon Mobley of the Innocent Criminals
sat in with the band on Hello Again, then Ben Harper joined in with
his slide guitar on Watchtower. Ben and Leon shined and took the show
into a new dimension. We can probably expect more of this in the days
to come. We're driving overnight to Ames, Iowa for a show tomorrow.
See y'all there.
-- The DMB Crew
Wednesday, October 06
1:21 AM CDT
We're loading out
after our show in Ames. The band welcomed Neil Young to the stage
again tonight to sit in on a few tunes. Neil took the place by storm,
his classic guitar tones and potent vocal stylings ringing throughout
the house. We all admire his skill and are honored by his presence.
Now we're heading to Florida for a show on Friday. See y'all then.
-- The DMB Crew
Thursday, October 07
12:27 AM CDT
It's officially the last day of the tour. Most
of the crew heads home tomorrow and said their bittersweet goodbyes
tonight. The rest of us are heading to Washington D.C. with the band
to play the final show with many of the bands that participated in
the Vote For Change tour. We hope you get to catch the broadcast.
